On 23rd September 2024, the Institute for Democracy at Matej Bel University hosted a highly engaging brainstorming session centred on original data and potential publications related to the Horizon Europe BRRIDGE project. The event brought together a diverse group of junior and mid-career researchers, fostering lively discussions and the exchange of ideas on how to further explore and utilise the project’s extensive datasets.
The session focused on two key datasets from the BRRIDGE project. The first, which has already been published as both an open-access article and dataset, provided a strong foundation for the discussions. Participants were also introduced to a second dataset, derived from a post-evaluation survey that collected over 8,000 responses. The data obtained as part of the BRRIDGE project offers new possibilities for research and publication.
In addition to data discussions, the event also highlighted opportunities for support in publishing and international collaboration within the BRRIDGE project. The organisers emphasised the importance of connecting researchers from various stages of their careers to encourage interdisciplinary cooperation and shared expertise.
Overall, the brainstorming session proved to be a successful platform for fostering collaboration and exploring new research possibilities within the Horizon Europe BRRIDGE project. Participants left the meeting with fresh perspectives on how to work with the data and a renewed enthusiasm for future projects and publications.
