We are excited to announce that Dr. Vladimír Müller, Assistant Professor at UMB and Faculty Affiliate at the Institute for Democracy, has been granted a prestigious Fellowship for Excellent Researchers (R2) as part of the Slovak Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Dr. Müller’s upcoming project, DAPPED – Divergence of Attitudes of Political Parties from V4 Countries at European and Domestic Level, will examine how political parties in the Visegrád Four (V4) countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia) shape and diverge in their policies on both European and national levels. This critical research seeks to deepen our understanding of populism and democratic disconnect across the region.
The project will build upon the achievements and capacities gained through the Horizon BRRIDGE project at UMB, further advancing university’s political and social research. We look forward to the valuable insights his work will contribute to both the academic community and public discourse.
